Job Purpose
The Accountant & Admin Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, enforcing financial controls, and supporting financial reporting, while also providing operational and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations at Suss Ads.
This role requires a highly organized, detail-driven professional who can comfortably operate across finance and operations in a fast-paced, performance-led agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
A. Accounting & Finance
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, mobile money transactions, dashboard payments, and other payment channels.
- Support budget preparation, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
- Ensure full statutory compliance, including:
- VAT returns
- PAYE, NSSF, NHIF
- Withholding tax
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Monitor and enforce financial controls, approval workflows, and expense policies.
- Support payroll processing, staff commissions, and related reconciliations.
B. Operations & Administrative Support
- Support day-to-day operational activities across departments.
- Assist with procurement processes, supplier coordination, and expense tracking.
- Maintain and organize company documentation, contracts, and operational records.
- Coordinate with banks and service providers on:
- Internet banking
- Prepaid and postpaid cards
- Payment processing and settlements
- Support HR administration, including onboarding documentation and staff records management.
- Assist in tracking campaign costs, margins, and client profitability.
- Help streamline internal processes to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
- Act as a liaison between Finance, Account Management, and Tech teams.

- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA) — in progress or completed — is an added advantage.
- 2–4 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an agency or service-based environment.
