We’re looking for a full-time Front-End Engineer with the skills and passion to build disruptive, responsive, and high-performance web interfaces that power payment platforms and financial services. You’ll collaborate across teams to craft intuitive user experiences, while ensuring the integrity and scalability of front-end systems.
Your key responsibilities:
- Leading front-end development for ad tech and fintech products and payment interfaces
- Architecting and implementing dynamic, user-centric web applications
- Working closely with product, UX/UI, and back-end teams to deliver seamless advertising and payment experiences
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Integrating third-party APIs and payment SDKs into front-end workflows
- Conducting performance tuning and optimization
- Maintaining accessibility and adhering to WCAG standards
- Performing code reviews and mentoring junior developers
- Contributing to component libraries and internal design systems
- Staying up to date with evolving front-end technologies and fintech innovations
Required skills & experience:
- 5+ years of experience building production-level front-end applications
- Expert in modern JavaScript (ES6+), React (or similar frameworks), and TypeScript
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS)
- Proven experience with integrating payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Flutterwave, MPESA APIs, Visa/Mastercard)
- Familiar with web security best practices, especially for financial and transactional interfaces
- Comfortable using Git, CI/CD tools, and agile development workflows
- Strong debugging and performance profiling skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience leading projects or mentoring team members is a strong plus
- A portfolio or case studies of front-end projects, especially within payments, is a plus
